Get In The Action with Intro to Lacrosse!!!

Lacrosse is designed to teach young players the fundamentals of the game. Players learn through drills how to scoop, pass and catch in a fun team atmosphere with minimal contact.
The focus of this program is to master the basics before having advancing in the sport.  Players who complete “Intro to Lacrosse” program have the opportunity to register for other lacrosse
opportunities that involve team-oriented play and tournaments beginning with our Spring I. programs.

Ages: 7-14 for Boys and Girls
Member Priority Registration Begins: December 1
Non-Member Registration Begins: December 8
Registration Ends: January 3rd
Late Registration: December 25 – January 3rd ($10 late fee applies)
Season Begins: January 9, 2022
Season Dates [Sundays]: 1/9, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20
Season Break : January 16

Specialty Sport Cost: $89 for members, $99 for non-members (become a member and save!)

*One-time, annual non-member fee of $49.99 required for non-members

Equipment Needed: All equipment for this program will be provided by 5th& Shady Lacrosse.  Participants should bring a water bottle and wear athletic attire including cleats or tennis shoes.

Abut our Coaches

Coach Steffanie Steelhammer developed her love for Lacrosse when her oldest son entered a Little Scoopers program.  Stepping up to help “coach”, she went on to become a USA Lacrosse Level 3 certified coach, the first female to coach at the United States Military Academy (Army) Lacrosse Camp and founded 5th & Shady Lacrosse, LLC, to grow the game. Steffanie is also a Soldiers to Sidelines certified Lacrosse coach and Sports Performance certified. A native of Utah, Texan by marriage and 20 year veteran of the US Army, Steffanie has coached at all age group levels, to include establishing her own travel team in North Carolina.

Coach Adam Steelhammer is a 24 year veteran of the US Army mostly focused in Special Operations.  Adam is a USA Lacrosse Certified Level 3 coach, Soldiers to Sidelines Lacrosse Coach, Soldiers to Sidelines Performance Training Coach and also serves as a coach with the United States Military Academy Lacrosse Camps.  He has coached at all age groups, run a travel team and developed youth athletes to compete on select and national championship competitions, and Face off coach for select travel teams in the area.
