The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA provides drop-in childcare while you workout and on Saturdays, before & after school activities, and camps for every stage of childhood. Our programs are more than just an after school or summer activity. Before & After School

Before and after school hours shape the rest of your kids lives. At the Y, the school year out of school time programs are more than a place to go- they provide a path with a purpose. The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA provides safe, quality and affordable programs at over 20 sites across Arlington, Mansfield and Kennedale in Arlington ISD, private schools and charter schools. The Y is the largest child care provider in the nation and we consider it an honor to serve the Arlington-Mansfield Area! Most Y After School programs are offered on-site at your child’s school, making drop off and pick up convenient for parents.

Summer Childcare

Offered at locations around the Arlington-Mansfield area, YMCA Day Camp is the best place for your child to get out and get active. Activities may include sports and outdoor games, creative and performing arts, archery, engineering and nature exploration. Children can tailor their camp experience by registering for the ultra-spirited traditional camp experience or specialty excursions which combines the traditional fun of YMCA summer programs with the more specialized skills (by providers or YMCA experts).

Child Safety Commitment

The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA does not tolerate the mistreatment or abuse of youth in our programs. Our organization performs criminal background checks, including screening through the national sex offender registry, on candidates prior to employment and on program and board volunteers prior to volunteering. Anyone with a background of mistreatment or abuse to youth will not be considered for employment or volunteer opportunities with our organization. As well, all reports of suspicious or inappropriate behavior with youths or allegations of abuse will be taken seriously. Our organization will fully cooperate with authorities to investigate all cases of alleged abuse.

Before School: 6:30 AM is the start time, the program ends whenever the school day starts. After School: We start our program at dismissal time and program end time is 6:30 P.M. 

Activities include but are not limited to: crafts, group games, stations, and character building time.

Before School: Directly to the cafeteria for breakfast/ to class. Depending on parent preference. Child needs to know where to go.

Yes, Call or text the site phone upon arrival.

Before school: This location varies per site but it will either be the gym or cafeteria. After school: This location varies per site but the main location will either be the gym or cafeteria. On occasion there will be playground time or library time.
Yes, We provide a 2 component snack with water for after school.

After school: Notify your site director via call or text on the site phone if your child will be absent. Your director will always Call and make sure your child should not be in attendance.

Staff will ALWAYS id whomever is picking up your child to make sure they are on your child’s approved pick-up list.

Since the child is taking a spot that another child cannot enroll in, regardless of attendance parents are required to pay for the weekly rate. No weeks will be pro-rated by attendance.

Parents are required to notify the Before/After School Director or Associate Executive Director of After school via email to cancel. All cancellations must be sent by Wed the week prior to avoid being drafted. If cancellation is not sent by draft date no refunds will be issued.
