Youth Martial Arts

The Taekwondo program at the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA provides instruction in kicks, blocks, and punches for self-defense. We focus on teaching the Taekwondo tenets of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and Indomitable spirit while building strength and balance in a positive, can-do environment. We frequently address how and when to apply Taekwondo in the real world. We instruct students not just how to kick and punch but when to kick and punch. We love to see the confidence our students gain from our Martial Arts Program.

About Our Instructors

Master Williamson Elliot (Master WE), seventh-degree black belt, has been training and teaching Taekwondo for over 30 years (12 years at Texas Black Belt Academy) with students of all ages. While she excels with kids (mother of three), she enjoys students of all ages. Master WE is a mental health counselor by profession.
