Financial Assistance

The Y is a charitable organization making a significant impact on the communities we serve by distributing more than $500,000 worth of free and subsidized programs that are available and open to EVERYONE. Through the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign and its generous donors, we offer financial aid to ensure that no one is turned away from a Y program or service due to an inability to pay.  

As the leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y works side-by-side with our neighbors every day to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. 

Signing up for Financial Assistance is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

Complete the Financial Aid Application. List the number of household members and any forms of income in a 30-day period.

Step 01

Submit your application

Submit your application to a Membership Services Associate with any proof of income listed on the financial aid application.

Step 02

Get Temporary Approval

A Membership Services Associate will temporarily approve you. You have two weeks to turn in any other needed documentation. If submitted correctly, the YMCA will approve you for the correct scholarship amount for one year. You must renew at least two weeks before the expiration date of your financial assistance or your membership dues will automatically increase to the full amount.

Types of Proof of Income

  • 2 most recent pay stubs 
  • SSI Letter
  • Food Stamp Award Letter
  • Child Support
