Special Needs Programs

Recognizing the need for quality, adaptive, programming for individuals with special needs, these  programs help individuals gain confidence, promote independence and responsibility, and work together, as well as nurture a healthy and active lifestyle. All programs are led by qualified individuals who help create a safe, friendly, and supportive environment.

Special Needs Adaptive Swim

Children with autism are five to 14 times more likely to drown than peers without autism. Accidental drowning accounted for 91% of deaths for children 14 & under who have been diagnosed with autism. 

Our Special Needs Adaptive Program (SNAP) is designed for individuals five years old and up that may need a modification or accommodation due to Autism. The program is led by trained staff to help participants gain confidence and feel more comfortable and secure around the water.

Special Friends

This program provides an opportunity for adult members with special needs to focus on exercise and reinforce healthy life choices. Participants enhance their socialization, organizational and other daily living skills. Activities include supervised exercise programs, problem solving, team building, crafts, holiday celebrations, field trips and community service projects.
