Engaging Globally, Welcoming Locally

As an organization committed to serving ALL, our YMCA values the transformative power of global engagement. By immersing ourselves in countries where significant newcomer communities also reside locally, we deepen our understanding of their cultures, fostering meaningful connections that encourage them to join our YMCA family here at home.

Recently, we established impactful partnerships with leaders while traveling in Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay. We extend our sincere gratitude to Peruvian Minister Cesar Jordan and the YMCA General Secretaries Mauricio Solis, Mario Cenci, and Gustavo Elizalde for their warm hospitality and unwavering dedication to advancing the YMCA’s mission. Together we are ensuring access to essential services and support for all, thereby strengthening our global community.

We were also fortunate to visit and interact with participants from our partner organizations, including YMCA Peru, Casa De Luz, Jóvenes Con Propósito (JCP), and Allies in Youth Development.
