The Excel After the Bell Program offers safe, engaging, and enriching after-school care for elementary-aged children from the end of the school day until 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
School-Based Programs
Conveniently held onsite at select elementary schools, our school-based programs provide a structured, supportive environment where children can unwind, complete homework, and enjoy age-appropriate enrichment activities.
The YMCA currently operates on-site programs at the following schools:
Beckam, Butler, Duff, Dunn, Miller, Moore, Sherrod, Short, St. Joseph, and Webb.
YMCA-Based Programs
Our YMCA-based programs, located at the Central Arlington YMCA and Mansfield YMCA, expand on the traditional after-school experience with a focus on arts, physical activity, and science-based learning.
We provide daily transportation from the following schools to the YMCA:
Arlington Classics Academy, Amos, Hill, Key, McNutt, South Davis, Swift, Wimbish, and Willie Brown.
Additionally, YMCA-based programs are open to homeschoolers and students from any elementary school, provided that parents are able to drop off their child at the YMCA by 4:00 pm each day.
