Engaging Globally, Welcoming Locally

This summer, our YMCA team of fourteen dedicated volunteers and staff will embark on a transformative adventure to Peru. Building upon the groundwork laid during our inaugural trip last year, we’re expanding our impact and deepening our connections.

In partnership with Allies In Youth Development and the Lima, Peru YMCA, we’re committed to creating meaningful experiences working with orphan children. In Cusco, we’ll engage with Jóvenes Con Propósito, an organization that is empowering young adults with the tools and skills they need to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

At the heart of our Global Engagement Program lies a deep commitment to cultural exchange and better understanding.  The connections that we develop with our partner YMCAs in Mexico, Peru, Vietnam, and the Seven Council Fires build bridges with Newcomers from those regions in our local community.

A special thank you to our partners at the YMCA of Peru and Allies in Youth Development for making this experience possible.
