Nearly 30 million children participate in USDA school breakfast and lunch programs on an average school day. When school is out for the summer, children lose access to these healthy meals, but they still need nutritious food to grow healthy and strong.
Through partnerships with Arlington ISD and YMCA of the USA, the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA helps ensure children continue to have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer.
During the program, free breakfast and lunch are offered Monday through Friday at multiple YMCA locations. Meals are available to every child who walks through our doors, whether or not they are a YMCA member or enrolled in a YMCA program. Children and teens ages 18 and younger, as well as individuals with disabilities ages 21 and younger, are welcome.
There is no cost to participate, and no registration or proof of income is required. Families can simply visit a participating YMCA location during the designated meal times.
