Our Competitive swim program focuses on the development of all ages and abilities. Trained coaches work to improve swimmers’ skill level, endurance and promote a healthy lifestyle. Teams are organized by ability and designed to help members improve and refine the four competitive strokes, sets, starts and finishes. Our swim teams compete with the other Ys and swim clubs at area meets.
The YMCA’s Bettas competitive swim team practices four days a week with swim meets throughout the year. Swimmers must be able to confidently swim freestyle and the backstroke for 25 yards.
